De eerste is er uit / The first one is out.

Ja, gister hebben we Mot Målet naar de drukker gestuurd, vandaag hebben we van de drukker te horen gekregen dat het document goedgekeurd is en ze binnenkort gaan drukken. Het is voor mj een hele goede ervaring geweest om met het blad te werken. Hier komen eer paar dingen die ik in het proces geleerd heb.
* Ik heb veel geleerd over InDesign, het programma waar we het blad mee maken.
* Ik heb geleerd dat het er niet om gaat dat we het altijd met elkaar eens zijn, in sommige beslissingen was het moeilijk om uiteindelijk tot een besluit te komen.
* Ik zie nu beter hoe ik met de layout structuur van een blad moet werken, hoe ik dingen goed kan laten lopen. Het kan nogal een behoorlijk werk zijn om met tekst te werken.
* Ik heb gezien dat ik erg verschillend denk als Kristian en de andere vormgevers en creative mensen hier. Veel van het blad is tekst en foto´s, en ik ben graag wat creativer en wil het liefst met illustraties er desgin-elementen werken.
* Ik denk graag een eindje vooruit, hoe we het hele blad beter kunnen maken. Maar met het blad is dat niet mijn verantwoordelijkheid. Het is de bedoeling dat ik me vooral met het visuele bezig ga.

Yes, yesterday we sent the Magazine to the printer. The whole two last weeks we have been working intensely on the designing. We got an affirmation from the printer today that everything was okay to start printing. This time I have been learning how to do the graphic design on the magazine, next time I will be doing these things myself, exciting.
Here are some things that I have learnt in the first in the last weeks.
*I have learn alot of how to work with InDesign, the program we use to make the magazine.
* I have learned that it is not about that everyone always agrees about everything. On some things it was difficult to get a final decision, based on all the opinions and argumentations.
* I have seen that I think very different from Kristian and the other people involved in the design process. In my approach to the layout, I like to think about illustrations and design elements. Where the regular approach would be to use photo´s. I am excited to see what the next will issues will look like.
*I like to think a bit ahead and with a broad perspective, I have been looking for ideas to find the best solutions for the magazine. This is actually not my responsability, I am supposed to work with the visual. There is a good dynamic of communicating thoughts and vision.
