Oom geworden / I am uncle

Nu zou ik zo graag bij mijn familie in Nederland geweest zijn.
Want afgelopen Woensdag-middag ben ik oom geworden.
Mijn kleine neefje heet: TIES MIDDAG.

Ik heb voor de uitzondering een paar foto´s gestuurd.
Zo mooi en lief kan ik niet tekenen.
Op de tweede foto zie je drie generaties Middag,
mijn vader Jan en kleine Ties met zijn vader (mijn broer Mattijs)
De vierde foto is een "liuiertaart", met echte luiers en Q-tips als kaarsjes.
Het heeft voor mij weer bewezen dater verrassende creativiteit bij ons in de familie zit.

Gefeliciteerd Mattijs en Alice,
Welkom in de familie Ties,
Gods zegen over jullie drie.

Last Wednesday-afternoon I became uncle,
Alice (my sister-in-law) gave birth to a health boy.
He is my nephew and his name is: TIES MIDDAG.

On the second photo are three generations Middag.
My father Jan, the little Ties and his father Mattijs (my brother)
The thing on the fourth photo is a diaper-cake.
Made from real diapers and Q-tips!
It was a gift from my parents to my brother and his wife.
This is proof that surprising creativity runs in the family.
It will be hard to top this kind of thing,
but I am working at it.
