Syttende Mai

Vandaag is het de Noorse nationale feestdag.
Vanochtend hesen we de Noorse vlag,
en zongen dit gezang.
Met dit gezang beleiden we onze afhankelijkheid van God,
en vragen hem om het land te zegenen.
Het derde vers is van Psalm 127.
De tekening is een beetje Richard Scarry-achtig.

Today is Norway´s national day,
We started the morning with raising the flag,
and singing this hymn.
In it we confesses our dependency on God,
and ask him to bless the country.
The third verse is from Psalm 127.
