Drawing Diary: 29 and 30 April

29 April: Flink
It was "children´s sunday" at church today, it means that the children are running the program. Lots of songs, some playback. One family performed beautifully , the father played the piano while his daughter sang a solo beautifully. Suddenly the little sister (3-ish) walked on stage and started pulling her older sister that kept on singing, trying to ignore her. The father who saw this calmly kept playing the piano. Great to see the father´s confidence in her daughter singing, and this girl being secure in an unexpected situation.

30 April: Russ 2012
This was the first night of the "Russe-tid". Café UNO was open from eleven to two this night. Some youth from the churches were out in the street with waffles and coffee for the party-crowd. Most of the Russe-parties were away from the city, on a camping and by the lake. Still a couple of them came by. I feel like I am an unusual type of café-person, I am not someone that sits down to have a chat with them, I let them mind their own business. I do not know wether it is a good thing or a bad thing. It´s me.

The Norwegian russ tradition means: Senior high-shool graduates have wild parties from the first til the seventeenth of May. Wikipedia can inform you about more.

I could not find an "official russ12" website, this one gives you a good idea of what it looks like.
